Candace Elaine Heathman's Obituary
Candace Elaine Heathman, aged 76, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026 in Lakewood Colorado. She was a remarkably caring and loving person who brought warmth and light to everyone who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, style, and positivity lives on through her family.
Candace was born on October 30, 1949, in Russell, Kansas, to her proud parents, John and Bobbie Gallaugher. Throughout her life, she maintained an effortlessly bright and positive outlook on life, greeting each day with a joyful spirit. Candace loved to look great and was always beautifully put together, frequently adding a touch of personality to her outfits with her favorite fun jewelry.
An avid enthusiast of life's simple pleasures, Candace loved to take care of her garden, spending countless peaceful hours nurturing her plants. Her creativity also shone in the kitchen, where she truly loved to cook and bring people together over wonderful meals. On the road, she had a fun, classic appreciation for Volkswagens, which perfectly matched her upbeat personality. Above all, she dedicated herself fully to her family, always prioritizing the happiness of the people she held dear.
She is survived by her loving children: her son, Nicholas Heathman, his wife; Heather Bargett, and her daughter, Holly Heathman. Candace was a profoundly devoted grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her six grandchildren: Lilliana, Alexander, and Lynessa Heathman, and Jordan, Alyssa, and Tristan Alvarez and her mother Bobbie Gallaugher. She was preceded in death by her father John Gallaugher.
