Daniel Dean Roberts' Obituary
Daniel Dean Roberts, 63, passed away on February 26, 2026. Born on August 28, 1962, Dan lived a life marked by independence, loyalty, and a deep appreciation for music and friendship.
Dan graduated from high school in 1980 and went on to dedicate many years of service working for the City of Minneapolis. He was known for his strong work ethic and quiet dependability.
He later made his home in Colorado, where he found joy in the beauty of the mountains and cherished time spent with close friends. Music was one of Dan’s greatest passions, and it was often the soundtrack to his life — whether attending concerts, relaxing at home, or sharing favorite songs with those around him.
Dan never married and did not have children, but he found companionship and comfort in his beloved pets over the years, including his bird, Izzy, and a loyal dog who was by his side for many years.
He is survived by his mother, Velma H. Rierson; his brother, Scott A. (Michelle) Roberts; his sister, Sheryl L. (David) Bock; his half-sister, Jojo Ganther (Scott); his step-sister, Cindy Bachrodt (Rick) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Roberts and his half-brother Jason Roberts.
Dan will be remembered for his love of music, his enduring friendships, and the quiet, steady presence he brought to the lives of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Plans are to have a celebration of life sometime this summer.
