On September 11, 1960, Donald Lovell Washington was born in Holly Hill, Florida. He was raised in Daytona Beach, Florida by loving parents and surrounded by siblings, extended family, and friends. In 1978 Donald joined the Army which took him to Colorado, where he met the love of his life, Dora.
In 1985 Donald was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. While fighting the good fight, his faith never wavered, and he continued to live life without complaint. After serving in the Army, Donald went on to work for the United States Postal Service until his retirement.
Donald and his devoted wife of 43 years, Dora, raised a son, Shawn, and built a beautiful life in Centennial, Colorado. Donald enjoyed cooking, coaching basketball, fishing, and putting smiles on faces.
On Monday, November 27, 2023, Donald Lovell Washington became an ancestor leaving behind his dedicated wife, Dora Washington, loving son, Shawn Washington, and granddaughters, Shanya Washington, Kendall Washington, Camryn Washington, and Shae Washington, his siblings: Brenda G. Moore, Louella (Michael) Frye, Riley (Traci) Washington, Ronnie (Pat) Washington, and Nick (Aileen) Washington and a multitude of extended family and friends.
