Eric D Scott's Obituary
Eric Scott, aka EZ, died on Sept 21, 2023 at 43 years of age from lung and heart complications. But . . . really he died of a broken heart. We can take solace in knowing he joins his daughter, Jolean, and brother, Jesse, in the spirit world.
He was born in Durango, CO, where he grew up skiing the slopes of Purgatory. Soon after, he was skiing racing locally and then off to Breckenridge to train under John Leffler traveling to races in Italy, Germany, Croatia, and Chili.
Eric and Mia, mother of his children, raised Cassidy, Jolean, and Cecil with a profound passion for the mountains going fishing, hiking, camping and hunting. When not in the mountains Eric could be found encouraging the children in skiing, baseball, soccer, basketball or swimming.
He managed his own remodeling business and worked for many clients that became family to him. He was known to be a hard worker who paid attention to detail and had great pride in the projects he did.
Eric is survived by his children, Cassidy and Cecil Scott; the mother of his children, Mia Scott; his Father, Michael Scott (Scotty); and Mother, Deborah Anderson.
A celebration of life will be held this spring.
