Lillian Grismer Glatt (Miss Lilly) Teach
I fondly remember Frank as my student at rural Marie School near St Michael’s Catholic Church in Emmons County. We had twenty children, all eight grades, in one room that first year. The second year we had twenty-two children in all eight grades in that one room. Out door toilet. No phone of any kind. No running water. No terrible problems occurred. I believe they were two of the best years of my teen age life ! Perhaps because we started our day with prayer and the flag pledge. Prayed again before we ate our lunch from a syrup pail , sack, or whatever we had. During one Christmas program Frank was paired with a girl to dance the Texas Polka.
I’m so sorry Frank was so sick and passed so young. Surely it’s not the proper order that my students should go before me. I’m so sorry.
Thank you to Mary Kay Vetter for sending Franks obituary and for Debbie writing this lovely tribute to Frank. God Bless all the family. Miss Lilly
