Gregory David Munroe's Obituary
Gregory David Munroe, loving husband, father, brother, son, friend, and most importantly to
him, grandpa. On February 27th, 2025, Greg unexpectedly passed while living his retirement
dream at his second home in Mexico.
Born at Edwards Air Force Base in California on December 8th, 1969 to James and Carol
Munroe. He grew up in Washington State where he graduated from Juanita High School and
went on to serve our country with the Army in Desert Storm. He graduated from college at
Eastern Washington University and after working for a few years he returned to the Army to
serve in Iraqi Freedom. After his service he found his dream job in Colorado and recently retired
from being the CFO/Vice President of Operations, at AcoustiFLO.
Greg and Rachael were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Munroe on October 31st, 2003, combining
their families with their children, Tyler, Derrek, and Nicholle..
He believed in living everyday to the fullest, honoring our country, and loving unconditionally.
Greg would want to be remembered for having integrity and accountability, being the life of the
party, and being the impactful man that he was. He was intelligent, funny, boisterous, and
adventurous. He was a provider, an honorable man, and a protector. He loved his family deeply,
lived his life boldly, and left a mark on everyone he met. Greg is and always will be
unforgettable.
He was predeceased in death by his father, James. He is survived by his wife Rachael; Mother,
Carol; Brothers, Stuart (Annette), Mike (Lori), Scott (Bertha); Sisters; Karen (Mike) and Jan;
Children, Tyler (Ally) Knigge, Derrek Munroe and Nikki (Shawn) Green; Grandchildren, Jayce
Knigge and Kodi Green; and many other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to “American Military Family Got
Your Six”, in his honor. This is an organization based in Colorado that helps to support local
military veterans struggling with their mental health. This mission is very close to Greg’s heart.

You are invited to join us for a Military Funeral with Honors at Fort Logan National Cemetery
[4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236] on April 11th, 2025 from 3pm to 3:20pm.We will be
meeting in Staging area C, enter from the Kenyon Avenue Gate and arrive to the staging area by
2:40PM. Please arrive on time and stay with your vehicle, this is where the funeral procession
will begin.
Join us after the service from 4pm to 6pm at The American Legion [16070 E. Dartmouth Ave.
Aurora, CO 80013] for Greg’s celebration of life.
