John William Anderson's Obituary
John W. Anderson, 68, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado, with his loving family by his bedside.
John was born on August 12, 1957, in Lamar, Colorado, to Harold Anderson and Jennie Berryhill. He was raised in Texas and later made Colorado his home, where he built a life with his beloved wife and their three daughters.
John dedicated 22 years of service to Roper, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. Outside of work, his greatest joy was being “Papa” to his grandchildren. He treasured every opportunity to spend time with them, whether teaching them to fish, taking them on rides on his Harley-Davidson, or simply creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Grace Kissell; his mother, Jennie Berryhill; his stepfather, Gilbert Berryhill; his father, Harold Anderson; and his sisters, Susanne Anderson and Billy Jean Perez.
He is survived by his loving wife, Katrina Papiernik; his daughters, Brittany(Michael) Wilson, Tiffany (Nick) Holladay, and Steffany Cooper; his grandchildren, Taytum Cooper, Tegan Holladay, Jace Card, Reece Holladay, and John-Michael Taylor; and his sisters, Jacqueline Richardson. and Jannette Workman.
John will be remembered for his devotion to family, his hardworking spirit, his love of the open road, and the countless memories he created with those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Services will be posted at a later date for Walsenburg, Colorado.
