John Merrill Hansen II's Obituary
John Merrill “Jack” Hansen II, 71, passed away on April 19, 2025, in Littleton, Colorado. Born on March 9, 1954, to John ‘Jack’ & Phyllis Hansen in Honolulu, Hawaii during his fathers military career. Later relocating to northern California where he spent much of his youth and young adult years. It was here that he developed a love for the outdoors. . He found joy and peace in fishing and camping—activities that allowed him to connect with nature and those closest to him. A lifelong fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Jack’s passion for football was unwavering. In his younger years he had a passion for cars and often spoke about these stories.
Jack spent the majority of his later years in Colorado. Where he relocated with his family in 1994. John had a love for music and you would often find him listening to the Beach Boys, AC/DC and many other artists of his time.
Throughout his life and career, Jack demonstrated a remarkable range of talents. He was a man of many skills—an engineer, an entrepreneur by spirit, and a gifted salesman by trade. He was quite handy and loved to build things. His professional journey reflected his adaptability and determination, as he navigated diverse roles with confidence and ingenuity.
Those who knew Jack recognized him as a tough man with a soft center. He could be stubborn at times and was often misunderstood, but beneath that exterior was a compassionate soul who loved deeply. He was a proud man who often showed is love by offering his protection to his loved ones. His family meant everything to him. Jack lived a life marked by resilience, versatility and strength.
Jack is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Tiffany Herrmann and Terra Hansen; his grandchildren, Kaylee Jagiello, Ethan Herrmann, and Paxton Herrmann; and his great-granddaughter, Olivia Jagiello. He also leaves behind his brother, Mark Hansen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John “Jack” and Phyllis Hansen; and his sister, Cynthia “Cindy” Cleveland.
May Jack’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him. He is now at peace.
