Jon Terrell Burgin's Obituary
Terry joined his father in the heavenlies on the 28th of March 2025, at the age of 39, after a sudden death. His family takes solace that he has finally found peace.
Terry is survived by his mother and stepfather, Annette & Jubel Caldwell of Stephenville, Texas; his siblings, Chase Burgin of Dallas, Texas, Jubel Kevin & Alli Caldwell of Cleburne, Texas, and Chloe & Jayme Jackson of Odessa, Texas; his grandmother, Mayme Regan of Stephenville, Texas; his nieces and nephews, Bryson Caldwell, Jaden Jackson, and Jimmy Jackson of Odessa, Tx, and Cora Caldwell of Cleburne, Tx; Daniela Grey of Denver, Colorado; his uncles and aunts include Bryan Regan of Glencoe, N M, Bonnie and Donnie Leach of Kilgore, Janet Newbill and Nancy Burgin of Sealy, Texas; his cousins Ty & Kimberly Regan and Riley & Brittni Regan of, Arizona; Johnny & Tammy Leach, Sheri Leach, Clint Leach, and Gina Leach and numerous cousins, and many friends.
In 2002, Terry graduated from Linfield Christian High School. He later moved to Denver, Colorado with his girlfriend Daniela in 2011, where he and Dani built a life full of music, laughter, and big dreams. Together they spent their days exploring the city, showering love on their dog Teddy, going to concerts, and imagining the future – a time filled with joy and possibilities before he began to face greater struggles in 2012.
Terry will be remembered for his goofy sense of humor, affectionate heart, love of dancing, and boundless creativity. He was passionate about music, film, and cooking – always ready to sing at the top of his lungs, capture a moment through his camera lens, or whip up his famous bagel sandwich. He made people feel loved, safe, and seen. His light, love, and spirit live on in everyone lucky enough to have known him.
Terry’s Service will be held at Perry Ranch, Inc., at 114 Co Canyon Rd., Glencoe, New Mexico 88324, on the 12th of April 2025, at 11:00a.m. Lunch, provided by friends and family, will follow immediately after the service.
