Keith Tyrone Jones' Obituary
Keith (Keke) T. Jones 60, formerly of Peoria, IL, passed away February 21,2024, in Denver, CO. Keith was born June 30, 1963, to Robert and Rilla Ann (Heidelberg) Jones in Peoria, Illinois.
Keith leaves a loving partner of 34 years Gale Sumler, one brother Michael Jones of Sacramento, CA; four sisters, Robin Sledge, Candace (Kelvin) Broadway, and Wendy (Cornelius) Sledge-Cooper of Peoria, Cammy Williams of Peoria; one daughter, Dana Sumler, two granddaughters Juleah and Mariah Berry of Indianapolis, IN; three sister- cousins Bertha (Tarence) Mize-Jackson, Wanda Figgers of Peoria and Sheri (Greg) Collins of Cleveland, OH and a host of nieces and nephews including Kendra and Jeremy Sledge. Special friend/brother Bernard “Tink” Young of Peoria.
Keith was a friendly person, well known wherever he went. He loved his family. Keith was adventurous, always wanting to make others happy. He attended Spalding Academy High School. He received his EMT training and certification from Lincoln College. Even as a child Keith loved being a sharp dresser.
Keith is preceded in death by his mother and father, son David Sumler, his biological father Jerry Sledge, one sister Michelle, his grandparents, and his favorite aunt, Mae Winston.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
