Kelly Ray Hoffman's Obituary
Kelly Ray Hoffman 65 of North Platte Nebraska passed away on January 14th, 2024. Kelly was born August 5th,1958 in Grant Nebraska to Orville and Catherine (Mildred) Hoffman. Kelly grew up loving to ride motorcycles, and fixing anything and everything he could find.
Kelly had great accomplishments when it came to riding motorcycles and repairing cars. He worked for multiple car dealerships as a lead mechanic and finally worked for himself rebuilding cars and motorcycles. He was always known as a great person that would do anything to help you. Everyone considered him the master mechanic.
This is how we remembered Kelly:
His sisters remember him as a best friend, someone they could talk with and listen to his laugh for hours. The smile he always had. He would always take every situation (no matter the seriousness) and make a joke to ease everyone.
His brother remembers him as the older brother that he saw grow into a man. He remembers helping watch his sons even at a young age. Learning many lessons that Kelly would teach him in his journey into becoming an adult.
His children remember him as someone that was always working on something. He would always be wrenching on a car, a bike, the camera, the computer, or anything that may not need fixing just wanted it to work the way he wanted it to. He would love to take them fishing and smile every time they caught something big or small. They remember his laugh and smile and having “Dad Jokes” before they were even known as dad jokes.
His friends will remember him as the person they could always call on when they were in need. He was considered the best mechanic anywhere. He could listen for 2 min to your car, bike, RV, truck, tricycle, refrigerator, or anything that had moving parts and diagnose it right away.
We will be having a celebration of life in North Platte NE; in April this will be announced in the paper and all social media. We would love if everyone could join us celebrating his life at that time.
