Marie Claude Baumann's Obituary
Marie Claude Baumann passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15th, 2023 at the age of 70 surrounded by family. Born on November 7th, 1952 in Hanoi, North Vietnam to French parents Pierre and Genevive Bourles; Marie traveled the world living in French Guyana, Martinique and Reunion Island. She had a love of art, fashion and nature. On August 4th, 1973 Marie married Gary Baumann in Auxonne, France. They lived four years in the Seychelles, then settled in California and raised two daughters, Jennifer and Ann Marie. In 1994 the family moved to Colorado.
Marie had a passion for sewing and creativity. She loved traveling; especially visiting the French Riviera and Nice. She was an avid fan of music, like Moody Blues, The Beatles, and Johnny Hallyday. She was known for her generosity and loving, kind spirit. Sunflowers were her favorite flowers and grew many in her colorful garden. Marie loved visiting the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Denver Zoo, and many local and state parks.
She is survived by her husband Gary, their two children, Jennifer and Ann Marie, and her brother Patrick.
A private funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27th, 2023 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church at 10:30 am.
