Michael Alan Hoffmeyer Jr's Obituary
Michael Alan Hoffmeyer Jr born on December 29, 1989, in the Mile High city of Denver, Colorado touched the lives of many during his 34 years before suddenly and unexpectedly passing away far too soon on November 27, 2024 in Aurora, Colorado. Our family was not expecting for Michael’s life to be cut short so soon. We are all devastated by this huge loss and he will be forever missed.
Michael’s 34 years were filled with enjoying time with his family, loving his two children Alyssa and Alex and sharing his life with the love of his life and wife, Cori Wylde and mother to Alex.
Michael was a deeply kind and sentimental person who treasured the smallest joys life had to offer. He was as smart as he was humble, funny and always ready with a witty comment to bring a smile to others faces. He was devoted to his family and to his job as a sprinkler technician at Smitty’s sprinklers where he worked for the past 6 years.
He could often be found spending time watching his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, or any football game for that matter, snuggled up with Alex watching TV or taking a nap, attending Concerts with Cori and other friends and family, camping, fishing, spending time in nature, playing games at Boondocks, bowling as well as playing pool, or playing with the kids at the swimming pool, especially at The Great Wolf Lodge.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Myron “Buzz” Hoffmeyer and Ian Andrews. He is survived by his loving wife Cori Nicole Wylde, his two children Alyssa Hailey Hoffmeyer-Piltz and Alex Nikko Wylde Hoffmeyer, mother Tammi Hoffmeyer, father Michael Hoffmeyer Sr, siblings Kelly Hoffmeyer and Jeremiah Hoffmeyer, Grandmothers Jean Shupps and Rose Hoffmeyer, Alyssa’s mother Sandy Piltz, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and extended family and many friends who will greatly miss him.
Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church of Denver at 6500 E Girard Ave on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 3 PM.
Michael, “I will never let you down boy, I’ll never let you go” - you will be missed and loved, Forever and Always.
