Rik Kenneth Bates' Obituary
Richard "Rik" Kenneth Bates was born June 27, 1955 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Kenneth and Luella Bates. After growing up he moved to Colorado where he met the love of his life, Dana. They were married in 1988. In 2011 Rik started his transportation company, Rixtrux, LLC. Rik passed unexpectedly from our lives on the morning of January 12, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother and father. He leaves behind his beautiful wife Dana and numerous members of his extended family. I give you this one thought to keep: I am with you still - I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
