Shalyn Jolie Knight of Denver, CO passed away in her home with her family in Lochbuie, CO on Wednesday, October 9th2019. She moved on unexpectedly from this physical experience at the young age of twenty. Shalyn was born on August 25, 1999 in Wichita Falls, TX to Kristy Jackson and Colin Knight. She moved with her family to Colorado when she was only a few months old. She has always called Colorado her home. Shalyn briefly moved with her father to Sonoma County, CA where she graduated high school and developed a love for the wine industry. Shalyn had planned to relocate back to the wine country this fall to pursue her passion. Shalyn Jolie Knight was a free spirit who always marched to her own beat. Strongly opinionated, yet open-minded and loving. Passionate about the world, people, nature and life. A talented artist, musician and a beautiful singer. Wherever she went, she left a wake of light. Loved by so many people spanning the world. She spent time recording music with her father. Playing the ukulele and sketching. With her mother she enjoyed dancing, playing volleyball, listening to music, snuggling, watching crime shows and teaching her mother how to do makeup. She loved animals. During her short time, she had dogs, cats, lizards, turtles and even a pet spider. Endlessly curious and insightful way beyond her years. Shalyn held so many of her friends close and never broke those connections. Her friends saw her as a confidant, a smile when you needed a smile, a hug when you needed a hug and straight talk when you need the truth. Her brilliant energy will be felt eternally.
