Shawn Willard Williams' Obituary
Shawn was a down to earth, kind-hearted and caring man. He gave the best advice and always had time to help people, no matter what was going on in his day. He would welcome you in and just sit and listen. Whether it was a quick chat or an all-day meet up, you always felt loved after spending time with him.
Shawn was born April 30th, 1962, in Denver, Colorado to John Oliver Williams and Imogene Lavenia Tarpley. He graduated from Manuel High School in Denver, Colorado.
Shawn loved life, his children, grandchildren, and many friends. His funny outgoing personality was genuine to everyone he crossed paths with. He spent time enjoying music, repairing and rebuilding computers and cars. He truly enjoyed helping others and spending time with family every chance he could. Shawn’s favorite colors were black and blue. His favorite song was “Kiss from A Rose”, by Seal. Shawn was often called by his family "Pops, Dad, and Grandpapa."
Surviving to cherish the memory and maintain the legacy of Shawn Willard Williams his daughters Tammsha Rice-Williams (deceased), Shawnae Rice-Williams, Sterling Rice-Williams; his brother McKinley Tarpley III; his niece; Millanise Tarpley nephew; McKinley Tarpley IV; his sister Asale Kimaada; nieces Charise Collins and Kimmella Collins, 7 grandchildren, and many cousins.
Shawn you be greatly missed by all who loved him dearly.

He’s one of a kind! Very strong minded & determined person to get things done no matter what. To know him is to love him, kind-hearted person, natural comedian who can make anyone laugh. Very caring and also was intelligent, quick to learn & teach others too. He will tell you like it is all the time. May you rest easy my strong kind-hearted soul I love you always and we will meet again!
