Carol and I were very good friends since early elementary at Benson West grade school. We attended church and was baptized together at Benson Baptist. We continued our friendship till post high school when adult interests Ike marriage, children and residences far away. As we grew older and lost many of our long time friends. Carol and I survived and was able to keep in touch. For over 80 years we can say, Carol was one of my best friends. I loved her From Gloria Smith Larsen
I remember sitting in the kitchen with her. We were having a nice conversation when she started slurring her words and just passed out. I called Chuck and we called 911. Fortunately she was ok. Just a medication adjustment. She was a good friend to me and I will always remember her.

So much appreciate Mom's commitment to traditions. Christmas with the whole clan, Easter egg hunts around the house and in the field with cash surprises, summer picnics and of course the annual Croquet Tournament (I'm the grand champion and I won't let my brothers forget it :) ).

She always had a smile--genuine joy. She lit up a room. She made you feel valuable and made you feel that you were something special. She loved and just accepted people. I loved talking and listening to her. Hope and being positve just seemed to naturally flow out of her. She had her heavenly Father's heart; she was very giving in all areas.
She flourished in life. She "really lived." Peggy
Aunt Carol and I got haircuts together in the mid 70''s. When I visited her this March, I drove her to a her hair appointment; and she looked radiant. . The week she graduated to Glory, I had my hair cut and highlighted. (My hair is shorter now, the way she always liked it.)
Her mother, my Grandma Compton, taught me the hymn, "When He Cometh."
"When He cometh, when He cometh to take up his jewels; all his jewels, precious jewels His loved, and his own.
They shall shine in the morning, His bright crown adorning. They shall shine in their beauty, bright gems for His crown."
Aunt Carol is RADIANT now and shining brilliantly.
