I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Jeff's passing.
We grew up together in the tiny coastal Nova Scotia community of Moser River in what feels like a lifetime ago.
With his younger brother John in tow we played pond hockey as much as daylight would allow along with whichever other sport was in season.
He was up for anything. Always an adventurer, explorer and learner. Be it camping, fishing, cycling or late night trips to the city of Halifax, 90 miles away, for hockey games, movies or bowling.
Along with all this fun Jeff established at a very young age a commitment and willingness to work hard for everything he had.
I'll remember Jeff with fondness. A big part of my childhood memories. Sincere condolences to his wife and family.

My thoughts and prays to you and your family.
Where to begin. There is not a single word that can sum up Jeff he was the best. Anyone and everyone who has the opportunity to know Jeff on a business or personal level is extremely lucky and blessed. There is not a day that goes by where I don’t think of Jeff. Not only was he a great friend, he was family. I was thankful for the 4 years that I got to know Jeff extremely well and don’t regret a day of all the crazy fun times we had together in and off the ice. I was horrible when I first started playing hockey and there Jeff was, took me under his wing and allowed me to play on the outcasts! Man I was stoked!!! My skills slightly got better over the years but, the friendship that developed between Jeff and I was even better! Getting to know the Jewers family is something I will never forget! The extra extra large ice cream bowl, falling a sleep on the couch when watching just about anything on tv, the apple pie moonshine, and all the great times we have shared together as a family! Words can’t express how much I miss Jeff and I can only imagine what his immediate family is going through.
My condolences go out to everyone who had the pleasure to know Jeff and consider yourself lucky! Friends and family are hard to come by who you actually enjoy spending time with! You will not be forgotten, love you man forever and for always!
One day I will see you again Jeff, in heaven. I will bring the beers…. I will bring the beers….
Sincerely!
Your buddy, your family, your Nicky
Jeff was always such a big supporter of Kyle and the hockey team he played on which I am proud to be a part of. Jeff was one of our biggest fans and attended more games than almost anyone. He always gave me advice and tips on how to play better. He was always building my confidence up and making me feel like I was getting better at this whole hockey thing. Our team lost one of the best fans in the world and I'll never forget looking up into the stands and seeing him cheering us on. Jeff was a great dad, a great husband, and a great friend. My wife Jamie and I are sending all the love in the world to his wonderful family. ❤️
