Jeffrey Guy Jewers' Obituary
Jeffrey Guy Jewers May 3, 1970 - October 17, 2023
Jeffrey Guy Jewers, known to many as Jeff, entered this world on May 3, 1970, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to his parents Guy Emery and Dale Anne Jewers. He spent his early years in the close-knit community of Moser River, Nova Scotia, where he found his passion for God and hockey. Jeff graduated from Duncan MacMillan High School in 1988 and went on to attend Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina where he proudly earned a Criminal Justice degree in 1995.
Jeff moved to Colorado in May of 1995 after marrying his first wife, Carrie Poole. With Carrie, Jeff welcomed two beautiful children, Braedon and Haylee. Jeff’s love, support, and unwavering dedication to Braedon and Haylee were a testament to his faith and fatherly commitment.
Throughout his professional career, Jeff served as a contract security guard for the federal government at the courthouse in downtown Denver and the Denver Federal Center. In 1998, he transitioned to the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier.
In 2016, he met the love of his life, Julie Jewers, and on September 20, 2019, they celebrated their union in marriage. Jeff welcomed Julie’s two children, Ryan and Kyle, into his family as if they were his own. His love for Julie and her children demonstrated his remarkable character.
Jeff's life was enriched by his love for family and friends, his passion for hockey, and his fascination for all things Marvel. Although he was not Spiderman, he did have the superpowers to fall asleep at any given moment and eat exorbitant amounts of food in one sitting. His presence gave those around him strength and joy, inspiring each person he touched to be the best versions of themselves.
